It supports a wide range of scale factors (2x, 4x and up to 16x) so you can prepare images for larger displays, prints, or high-resolution digital content. The model offers two distinct enhancement modes: Creative Mode, which introduces stylistic changes and new visual features for artistic remakes, and Crystal Mode, which prioritizes maximum clarity and crispness for textures, backgrounds, and landscape details. Users can fine-tune results with controls such as seed, prompt guidance, dynamic range (HDR), creativity/diffusion strength, resemblance to the input, tiling for fractal effects, and optional downscaling prior to upscaling. Predefined styles like default, portrait, and anime help tailor the aesthetic quickly.
Clarity Upscaler excels at turning low-resolution or slightly blurry photos into sharper, more usable images for printing, web publishing, and content creation. It is particularly useful for enhancing nature photography, textures for digital art, and upscaling images for high-resolution displays. Because the model uses a partial denoise image-to-image process, higher creativity settings can generate plausible new detail—great for artistic transformation but something to avoid when exact fidelity matters.
